This Privacy Policy explains how KhataLogix ("we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use our mobile application and website (the "Service").

Information we collect

• Account information: email address, profile details, and authentication identifiers used to sign in.
• Business & ledger data: companies, products, sales/purchases, payments, and any notes you add.
• Device & usage data: device identifiers, app version, basic diagnostics (e.g., crashes) and usage signals needed to operate and improve the Service.
• Subscription data: purchase status and entitlement information if you subscribe to KhataLogix Pro through Apple App Store or Google Play (we do not receive your full payment card details).
• Support communications: information you provide when contacting support (for example, messages and attachments you send us).

How we use information

We use information to (a) provide core features such as ledger entry, reporting and PDF export, (b) authenticate you and sync data across devices, (c) process and verify subscriptions, (d) secure the Service and prevent abuse, (e) improve reliability and performance, and (f) respond to support requests.

Legal bases (where applicable)

Depending on your location, we process information based on: performance of a contract (to provide the Service), our legitimate interests (security and improvements), your consent (where required), and compliance with legal obligations.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with service providers that help us run the Service, such as:

• Cloud database & authentication providers to store and sync your account and ledger data.
• Subscription processors (Apple/Google) and subscription management services to validate Pro access.
• Analytics/diagnostics providers to understand performance and fix issues (if enabled in the app).

We may also share information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a business transfer (e.g., merger/acquisition).

Data storage & security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; you use the Service at your own risk.

Data retention

We retain your information for as long as needed to provide the Service and for legitimate business purposes (such as security, dispute resolution, and compliance). You may request deletion as described below.

Your choices & rights

You can update your profile in the app. You can request account deletion by contacting support. If you subscribe to KhataLogix Pro, you can manage or cancel your subscription through your Apple/Google account settings.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or object to certain processing of your personal information. We will respond as required by law.

International transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than where you live. Where required, we take steps to provide appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.

Children’s privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the age defined by local law). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date and, if changes are material, provide additional notice within the Service.
